The AGV motorcycle helmet brand was founded in 1947 by Amisano Gino Valenza from Italy, who was a passionate motorcycle rider who dedicated his life to research, design, and racetrack testing. The goal was to make the safest helmets available on the market and to be known for their quality. AGV built a solid reputation in the motorcycle community by collaborating with sponsored world championship riders, including the likes of fellow Italian MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi.

The AGV company was acquired in 2007 by another Italian motorcycle accessory innovator, Dianese. They dynamic motorcycle gear, and sport clothing company has been the perfect collaborative partner, and the company continues to develop, improve, and go from strength to strength.

AGV continues their research and development on their never-ending mission to improve the levels of rider safety, and they remain in the top handful of brands that are rated as market leaders in motorcycle helmets and the level of safety that they provide.
